I’ve seen the funny side of him but after watching this video, he gains my respect. He is one of the good examples of da’ie. He uses his hobby / advantage to spread good things to others. This is actually a form of dakwah. Most people nowadays have the perception that dakwah is only for the non-believers, but the truth is, it is for all mankind, including the Muslims. Each and everyone of us has our own flaws. We are not maksum like the prophets. Also, our nature as a human being is, we tend to be forgetful. Thus, to keep us on track, we have to be reminded, by dakwah. One common mistake that a Muslim does is to think that only the non- believers who should be corrected, until they forget their own sins that they commit.

Doing dakwah does not mean that you have to be one of those people with the all-white-attire and turbans and approach others to spread Islam, but we can always turns it to something friendly as what MatLuthfi did.

The simplest way of doing dakwah is by being a role-model to others. Everyone is capable of doing this and it will bring benefits to others and also to ourselves.

As for a girl like myself, we can start by improving our attire. Be modest and we do not have to put on something to please people. In my opinion, it is not important to have people to praise you for being beautiful or slim or anything that a girl desires. In contrast, it causes you to feel proud and to feel superior than others (even for a little bit). Nauzubillah, and as far as I’m concern, Islam tells us to be humble. This is the reason why we should not feel jealous on what other people have. We are all the same, except in terms of our imaan.

Therefore, do things to please Allah SWT alone. That is more than enough because at the end of the day, we will be judged by Him, not by people around us :)

* I’m still struggling in moulding myself to be a better Muslim and I’m sure everyone is struggling like myself too. No one is perfect. That is why there will always be a room for improvement.

So, just keep calm and improve yourself :)
